India’s Megha Engineering & Infrastructures has secured a KD117 million ($379 million) contract from Kuwait Oil Company for the development of a separation unit at its key Gathering Centre 25 (GC-25) and a water injection facility at Gathering Centre 30 (GC-30) in Kuwait.
The work includes construction of new processing and water-treatment facilities at GC-25 and GC-30, together with connecting pipelines, utilities and associated infrastructure.
At GC-25, the Indian engineering major’s scope of work includes the development of a new three-phase low-pressure wet separation facility.
At GC-30, the work involves the development of a treated water filtration and high-pressure injection system. The scope includes nutshell filters and associated feed pumps with a total capacity of 500,000 barrels of water per day, together with booster and injection pumps for transferring treated effluent water to designated injection wells.
Fuel gas treatment, sludge collection and disposal facilities and oil recovery systems are also part of the project in addition to associated civil, structural, piping and MEP works.
