Elegancia Arabia Trading, a part of the contracting and industries operating segment of Qatar-based Estithmar Holding, has been awarded a mechanical package worth SAR829 million ($221 million) for the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya City.
Located around 40 minutes from Riyadh, Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium is a futuristic, multi-purpose sports and entertainment venue situated atop the 200-m high Tuwaiq cliff.
The stadium will boast a 47,000-seat facility for football and is projected to attract 7.6 million visitors annually and host more than 60 football matches each year, alongside major entertainment and cultural events.
The climate-controlled venue will be the world’s first fully integrated stadium to combine a retractable roof, pitch and LED wall, enabling year-round operations and adaptation to different event formats.
It is one of Saudi Arabia’s flagship giga-projects and a designated venue for the FIFA World Cup 2034, reinforcing Elegancia’s growing role in the Kingdom’s infrastructure transformation.
The development will also include more than 50,000 sq m of retail, dining and entertainment space. The venue will integrate advanced energy-efficient systems delivered by Elegancia Electromechanical Services , supporting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to sustainable mega-developments. It will have an overall event capacity exceeding 60,900.
The Mechanical Package will be executed by Elegancia Electromechanical Services and represents its largest project in Saudi Arabia. The award marks a major milestone in the growth of Elegancia Contracting and Industries in the Kingdom and reinforces its position as a trusted engineering and contracting partner for large-scale and technically complex developments. Elegancia Electromechanical Services will bring its proven expertise in delivering complex mechanical systems for large-scale venues to the execution of the project.
Under the contract, Elegancia Electromechanical Services will deliver the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), public health, firefighting and Building Management System (BMS) packages. The project is scheduled to run from this month (September) onwards to May 2030 and is expected to involve approximately 3,000 Elegancia employees across different stages of execution.
On the contract win, Estithmar Holding CEO Basel Shaddad said this award underscores the strength of Elegancia Arabia Trading and Elegancia Electromechanical Services in delivering complex engineering works across the region.
