German fastening specialist fischer has been selected to supply its steel and chemical products for Saudi Arabia’s landmark Jeddah Tower, which is set to become the world’s tallest building when completed.

Rising to more than one kilometre, the tower is one of the most ambitious construction projects in the region, with completion scheduled for 2028. fischer will provide fastening solutions for the mega-project, with its experts also supporting construction teams on site through the project’s completion.

The Jeddah Tower is being developed in the rapidly transforming Saudi city of Jeddah and is expected to cost more than $1.5 billion. Its record-breaking height and complex construction requirements demand fastening systems capable of meeting stringent safety and performance requirements.

The Jeddah Tower is one of a series of record-breaking buildings in the world that feature fischer solutions. These include: the ‘Ain Dubai’, the world's tallest observation wheel; the Burj Khalifa, at 828 metres the current leader among the world's skyscrapers; the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum with its striking architecture – and many other landmarks in the region.
