Tecnimont, a leading global contractor for highly complex plants, has announced the groundbreaking of its $4.3 billion Rich Gas Development Phase 3 Project in Abu Dhabi, thus marking the launch of a new major undertaking for the group at the Ruwais Industrial Complex.

Awarded by ADNOC Gas, a key unit of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, these projects will help expand the Ruwais Natural Gas Liquids facility. 

As main contractor, Tecnimont will bring together its integrated expertise and execution excellence to deliver the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities for the fifth Natural Gas Liquids fractionation unit, said the company in its LinkedIn account.

Its scope of work includes the regeneration gas treatment unit, the propane refrigeration system, the ancillary systems and the storage facilities.

Once completed in 2030, the plant will reach an output capacity of 8 million tonnes per year, increasing the availability of valuable feedstocks for a wide range of manufacturing industries.-TradeArabia News Service
