Meraas, a member of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded a contract valued at nearly AED1 billion ($272.3 million) to GCC Contracting for the construction of 272 new villas and townhouses in Phase 7 of the Nad Al Sheba Gardens residential development.

The contract includes the construction of 130 villas - ranging from four to seven bedrooms - and 142 three-bedroom townhouses, along with pool houses, essential utilities and infrastructure works, stated the developer in a statement.

Construction has already commenced on site, with project completion anticipated in Q2 2028.

The scope of work includes the construction of pool houses, essential utilities and associated infrastructure works required for the development.
