Gulf Air has entered into a strategic global partnership with DHL Express, a market leader in the international express and logistics industry.

The Global Incentive Agreement Programme, introduced by Gulf Air, is designed to provide key global partners with incentives to boost its cargo traffic volumes on a yearly basis and facilitate its inclusion in the partner’s core carrier programmes.  DHL Express, a long time supporter of the airline, is the first partner to be signed up to this incentive agreement.

“We are delighted to have DHL Express on board as our launch partner in this incentive programme  and are looking forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship,” says Gulf Air executive vice president, marketing and sales, Lee Shave

“Strategic global incentive agreements are a key strategy in building effective partnerships, especially when it comes to air cargo industry. The agreement further strengthens the regional and global network capabilities of both Gulf Air and DHL.”

The agreement provides partners to access permanent bookings (PBs), direct booking, regular interface with HDQ key account managers, specific service level commitments and service recovery plans including claims processing.

“DHL Express has always been our preferred partner-in-business,” says Gulf Air acting head of cargo, Sam Okpro. “We appreciate their true partnership spirit during the negotiation of the agreement and look forward to extending the partnership to DHL Global Forwarding and other global partners in the near future.”

“As the leading express and logistics provider, we are growing fast and will continue to invest and cooperate with key players to strengthen our position as the market leader. This tie-in with Gulf Air further increases DHL’s worldwide coverage and leverages the strength of both companies.” said DHL Express Middle East Network Planning and Services manager Ross Wyeth.
