The ninth edition of the Middle East International Motor Show, the largest event of its kind in the region, promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
It will be held from November 14 to 18, 2007, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year's edition is power-packed with a host of presentations and attractions, living up to its promise as the most sought after automotive event in the Middle East, said an official spokesman.
Approximately 85,000 motor enthusiasts from the GCC and its neighbouring regions will witness world premiers, latest launches and a dazzling array of cars being seen in the Middle East for the very first time.
Some of the biggest names from the motor world including Aston Martin, BMW, Bentley, Maybach, Porsche, Volkswagen and more will add to the glitz and glamour of the event.
The exhibition will also showcase 10 of the world's fastest production cars, including the Shelby Aero, which recently screamed into the Guinness Book of World Records TM for being the fastest production car in the world.
This will be the first time ever that the Shelby Aero will be on display at a Motor Show event since breaking the record in October 2007.
"We are delighted with the overwhelming support and interest from the global automotive community. The Dubai Motor Show stands on par with the worlds leading motor shows in the international circuit, and we are proud to be hosting some of the world's best performance cars and premier launches right here in Dubai" said director general of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), organiser of the Dubai Motor Show, Helal Al Marri.
Another exciting highlight of the show will be the hugely popular West Coast Customs (WCC). Their presence at the show is all set to be awe inspiring, with a live on-stage car conversion demo for the first time in the region, as well as offering the original WCC merchandise.
The West Coast customs CEO and founder Ryan Friedlinghaus and his popular work colleague Big Dane will be at the show to meet and greet their fans.
"We are very excited to be attending this year's Motor Show and to be finally unveiling some spectacular projects we have been working on," said managing partner of WCC ME Rami El Malak.
Adding a star-studded touch to the show will be the exciting Aston Martin DBS as seen in the 2006 James Bond film "Casino Royale". The unique 'Cars of the Stars' walkway will feature a galaxy of exclusive collectors automobiles, including the classic 1978 Rolls Royce that was used by the Queen of England during her last visit to the UAE, currently owned by Shaikh Hamad bin Hamdan Alnahyan.
The Motor Show audience will also witness the UAE's first Solar Car, a trailblazing invention by Saqr Bin Saif. This Emirati invention will be on a rare public display, and is sure to strike a chord of pride with all the visitors to the show.- TradeArabia News Service
