Leading real estate advisory and property consultancy Cavendish Maxwell has appointed David McCormack as the Director of Capital Markets, enhancing the company’s diverse advisory offering and further boosting synergy across its broad range of services.

The appointment comes as Cavendish Maxwell builds on its established track record in Capital Markets by strengthening its capabilities in investment transactions, acquisitions, disposals and strategic asset advisory, combining its extensive market knowledge with established expertise across valuation, research and consulting.

With nearly 25 years of real estate experience, including 18 in UAE, David brings extensive expertise in investment transactions, asset repositioning and strategic real estate advisory, alongside a strong network of relationships across investors, family offices, developers and asset owners.

David's track record includes a range of high-value investment and asset management mandates, including a $247 million private credit transaction for a five-star hospitality project, managing assets exceeding $120 million for an African private equity fund, managing a $100 million European private equity fund, and raising $30 million in last-mile development funding for a waterfront project.

He has also overseen a portfolio of more than 20,000 properties across the seven emirates for Deyaar, valued at over $41.6 billion, and advised on land acquisition and development for a five-star hospitality project in Zanzibar.

In his new role, David is responsible for growing Cavendish Maxwell's Capital Markets business, identifying investment opportunities, advising clients on acquisitions and disposals, and developing strategies to maximise the value of their real estate assets.

Lauding the appointment, Group CEO Nick Witty said: "Capital Markets is an important part of Cavendish Maxwell's business, and we are pleased to strengthen our presence in this sector. David brings extensive experience, relationships and commercial expertise to lead this next phase of growth."

"Combined with our established valuation, research and advisory capabilities, we are now even better positioned to support clients across the full investment lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and assessing value through to executing transactions," he stated.

On his new role, McCormack said: "Cavendish Maxwell’s established reputation, depth of market knowledge and expertise, combined with a dedicated focus on Capital Markets give us a strong platform to support clients with their investment strategies and transaction requirements."

"I look forward to building on the company's existing relationships, developing new opportunities and helping clients achieve the best possible outcomes in their real estate investments," he added.
